Do you have your copy of Age II? Have you started playing already? If you're one of the many gamers out there scrambling to the stores to get your hands on the latest and greatest real-time multiplayer strategy game, prepare yourself for a real treat.
Gosh! Where do we start? Age of Kings is PACKED with SO MANY awesome features that you'll want to try out each and every single one of them and each building, military unit, and technology is unique in its own way! Let's take a quick look at some of them.
13 New Civilizations!
If you thought the Shang were a kick-butt civilization, think again. Age of Kings brings back the greatest medieval civilizations that once conquered and ruled many parts of the world. They are the Britons, Byzantines, Celts, Chinese, Franks, Goths, Japanese, Mongols, Persians, Saracens, Teutons, Turks, and Vikings. Just the mention of their names made neighbors tremble with fear! While you're moving your civilization around, learn each of their languages: Arabic, Gaelic, French, German, Japanese, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, Middle English, Mongolian, Norse, Farsi and Turkish!
The Castle
You'll need to collect more stone now, if you want to build a magnificent castle in the Castle Age. Building a castle is as hard as taking it down. So be prepared for a good fight if you decide to turn your opponent's castle into rubble. And let's not forget all the goodies you can crank out like your unique units, trebuchets, hoardings, spies, just to name a few.
Garrison Your Villagers or Troops
Poor little villagers. They're so diligent and hard working; they're essentially the backbone of your civilization. Lose your villagers, and you lose the power to mine, chop, and gather food on land. Before, villagers were helpless folks without a place to hide when their town was being raided. But NOW, if your town is under attack, you can quickly garrison your villagers in the town center by ringing the town bell or garrison your villagers into nearby buildings, towers, or your castle.
Gather Food Faster
Now you can build farms right off the bat in the Dark Ages. Just click a villager, hit B+ F, and place your farm on the map. And when your farm is depleted, click the villager and right-click on the depleted farm to start growing food again. Once you reach the Feudal Age, try building some fishing traps from your fishing ships. The fishing traps will increase the amount of fish available in the area you're currently fishing from.

Get Your Technology Upgrades!
University, blacksmith, market, mining and lumber camps, are the buildings for technology upgrades. Once you're in the Imperial Age, go to your University and research chemistry. This powerful upgrade will help you get bombard towers and cannons. Get a little extra armor protection for your military troops, by upgrading their armor in the blacksmith. Running out of gold? No sweat! You can exchange wood, food, or stone for gold in your market.
Send a Flare!
Found your opponents? Notify your teammates by using the flare button on the bottom right hand corner of the screen and click the map.
Protect Your Town
If you have walls around your town or near shallow water bridges, build gates to maneuver your villagers and troops in and out of the walls. Don't forget to lock the gate, if you want to protect your villagers and military troops from wandering off.
