The strengths of your empire are your excellent intelligence and well-organized military. Unfortunately, since minor races are not usually receptive to your diplomacy, it is usually better to wait until you have developed re-education centers before trying to subjugate most worlds. The time it takes to turn a minor race from unruly to respectful is considerably shortened if you have a re-education center. Watch your morale closely as low morale results in decreased industry-and even rebellion. Since the Cardassian research process can be slower than some of the other empires, it is best to decide on a long-term goal (such as having powerful scanners) and focus your research there. |
