CyberStrike 2 uses a modified "earned kill" scoring system to allow players a fair system of scoring based on skill and effort. Listed below are the ways in which you can improve your score, earn medals, and see your name on those high score lists!
Kills: At the time of the destruction of a CyberPod, a kill is credited to the player who has dealt the most damage to it in the last minute. A fellow teammate, or the player whose CyberPod is destroyed cannot earn credit for the kill in this way.
Earned Kills: An earned kill (EK) is a kill with extra requirements. If the player making the kill has accumulated less than 100 EKs and destroys a player with less than 100 EKs, then an earned kill is credited. If the player making the kill has over 100 total EKs, the player is granted an EK if the victim's EK total is 50% or greater of the killing player's EKs. For example, a player with 200 EKs must destroy another player with at least 100 EKs to be awarded an EK. Earned kills are utilized in determining kill campaign winners, total kill medals, and kill to death ratio medals.
Death Blow: A death blow is credited to the opponent whose attack deals the final, lethal damage.
Teammate kill: Credited to a player who deals the death blow to a fellow team member.
Suicide: Credited to a player who deals the death blow to himself.
Assist: Credited to all opponents who have damaged the destroyed pod in the last minute, but did not earn the kill.
Death: Credited to a player each time he or she dies.
Earned Death: Credited to a player each time he or she dies and the opponent is given an EK. Earned deaths are utilized to determine kill to death ratio medals.
