War Emergency Power
WEP was a special addition to the engines of planes that injected nitrous-oxide, alcohol, or water and alcohol to increase available power for short periods of time. When used these injections shortened the life of an engine considerably. In Fighter Ace
, WEP kicks in when you shove the throttle past 100%. You'll see "WEP" instead of a percentage in the instrument data block in the upper left. WEP only lasts for three minutes in Fighter Ace
, so use it sparingly. Landing for repairs will recharge your supply.
