Stephanie Hale, 4
Stephanie Hale, from Chigwell, Essex, is a rising star of British chess. At just four years old, she is the youngest British player to compete in a national event and was recently named by chess computer company, Saitek "Young Chess Player of the Month". While her mother Sue Hale reckons that Stephanie is still a bit young to participate in the upcoming British Chess Championships, she says her daughter could not wait for the chance to confront chess icon Kasparov.
