You are in command of the MechWarriors of Zulu Company, 1st Davion Guards. From your orbital observation point, you order a company of BattleMechs to crush your enemies and capture their equipment. Choose the best 'Mechs for each mission. Customize them with the weapons and components you require. Assign each one the best pilot for the job. Remember that what happens in one mission has an impact on the next -- don't go all out in the battle if it'll cost you the war. 'Mechs, MechWarriors, and Resources carry forward from mission to mission. Pilots not only advance in rank but also increase in skill.
This is MechCommander. You will know what it is to command.
New Features:
Waypoints -- Waypoints give a commander greater control over his units' movement by setting a specific series of points for them to automatically follow, thus freeing up the commander's attention for other units. There are four different types of waypoints -- walk, run, jump, and minelayer -- and you can place a total of 16 waypoints in any order.
Ammo Conservation Mode -- A commander can order units to fire energy weapons only, conserving precious ammunition until it is truly needed.
Difficulty Levels -- MechCommander: Desperate Measures
offers three levels of gameplay: easy, regular, and hard. These levels can also be used to play the original MechCommander missions.
Six New 'Mechs -- The new 'Mechs include three Inner Sphere 'Mechs and three Clan 'Mechs, such as the Stiletto, the Bushwacker, and the Nova Cat.
