Zone: What is your official job title and what department/division do you work for?
Josh: System Producer for the Marketing Department
Zone: Describe your job and the part of Vegas Fever you were in charge of.
Josh: I troubleshoot, with the developers, the day-to-day development problems that arise. When questions come up about artistic direction or feature implementation I work with the programmers and try to come up with the best possible solution.
Zone: What do you like most about your job?
Josh: I am paid to play computer games, and I love working with developers to
actually create something people will enjoy.
Zone: What do you like most about working in the gaming industry?
Josh: The energy! Something is always going on and every day you walk into the
office you never know what is going to happen.
Zone: Do you play a lot of PC casino games?
Josh: I was pretty big into blackjack before I started on this project, but that is because none of the poker games I played at home could be found in a computer program. Now, I like to play all the games I play with my friends on poker night.
Zone: What made you decide to create/publish Vegas Fever?
Josh: It was a category that Encore felt really excited about and felt that we could do well in. We had a good relationship with some qualified developers so it all kind of fell into place.
Zone: What were some of the major challenges to completing this project?
Josh: Same thing as always; time. Everything you want to put into a title has to be weighed against how long you have to put it out. Realistically, we could have spent a couple years on this title, but we decided to save some things for the next time around.
Zone: What do you like best about Vegas Fever?
Josh: The poker builder by far. It is awesome to be able to play the poker games you play at home on the computer. I think this is a major feature that
will really excite people.
Zone: Is there anything you wish you could add to Vegas Fever or change about it?
Josh: There are some things I would like to add but didn't have time to. I won't let them out of the bag yet, check out Vegas Fever next year and find out.
Zone: Any other comments or suggestions you'd like to share with your Zone players?
Josh: Don't let the man get you down.
