How Do I Make a Move Against Kasparov?

Once you've signed up for membership in the MSN Gaming Zone (see Step 1), visit the Play Kasparov pages. From there, choose to view Today's Move. Depending on the day, it will either be Garry Kasparov's turn to move, or YOUR turn to move.

If it's your turn, study Garry's last move and study the board to see how you would respond. You may wish to take advantage of the World Team analysts and see what they have to say about Garry's move, and their recommended response. You may want to visit the chat rooms, or go to the Zone's own Chess area to talk with other players and see what their move recommendations might be.

When you've decided what your move will be, click on the piece you want to move. You'll see the square name show up in the "From" field on the page. Then, click where you want to move the piece. The destination square name will show up in the "To" field. Click on Register Your Move and you will be taken to the World Turn Move Registration page.

On the Registration page, you will see your selected move in the "Your Move" field. You must then enter your "Zone Member ID" and "Password" to confirm your vote. Hit the Submit button and your move vote will be registered and counted. Good luck!

If you are not in Windows, go straight to the Voting page. You will just need to enter a valid e-mail address to confirm your move.
