But that's not all. You also have the opportunity to track your progress with the new ZoneStats system; a sophisticated and detailed rating system that will record and post your game points, such as kills, hits, misses, suicides, and more. For your score to be posted all you need is to have the game host choose to play a rated game, and enter your Player Name and ZoneStats password at the start of the game setup window. NOTE: Your ZoneStats name and password can be different from your Zone sign in name and password. At the end of the game, you can view your scores by looking up your ZoneStats name and password.

NOTE: For the MechWarrior 4 public test, you will be ranked and scored immediately. However, when officially released, you will need to play 5 rated MechWarrior 4 games for a total of 60 minutes in any one game type to be ranked in that particular game type.

• A FREE Zone Name and password for a Gaming Zone account (Sign up now!)
• MechWarrior 4 retail game software (check game's documentation for specific system requirements)
• Windows 95/98 or 2000 or later (this includes Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.02 or later, or Netscape Navigator version 4.0 or later
• Join a MechWarrior 4 game. Make sure the host selects Report Statistics to Game Server from the Host Setup window, and then launch the game.
• In your Options window, enter your player name (your game handle) and ZoneStats password. If you want to be able to track your scores, you need BOTH a name and a password. Your player name is the name that will be posted on the ZoneStats page, along with your stats. It does NOT necessarily need to be your Zone Name, though it can be.
• Each ZoneStats name and password will be assigned a UID (unique identifier number). It's important to remember your UID number and ZoneStats name, because knowing your UID number will help you look up your stats easily.
• To find your UID number, go to the ZoneStats page, enter your ZoneStats player name in the menu bar on the top of the page, and click Search . If more than one player shares the same name, you will be prompted to enter your password.

1. Sign up for a FREE Zone membership.
2. Once you have a Zone membership, you can play MechWarrior 4 anytime you want. Enter your Zone Name and password to log on to the Zone and select a game room.
3. Make sure you have the game CD-ROM in your drive. If you are using the initially released Public Test version of the game, no CD-ROM is necessary.
4. Hosting and joining a game are easy: To host, click an empty table, then wait for other players to join. Launch the game once you have enough players.
